Notre-Dame's Music O'Clock

These concerts serve to support the musical community in a culturally iconic venue: the Notre-Dame du Sacré-Cœur Chapel of the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal. The experience comes to life as soon as the first notes resonate in the acoustically perfect hall.  

The concerts are divided into two performances to offer flexibility in scheduling for the audience. This format allows artists to share their repertoires with a larger number of music lovers. The funds raised contribute to the conservation and maintenance of the musical instruments: the Casavant organs and the Gaveau piano.

Under the direction of jazz guitarist Jonathan Ethier, the Jonathan Ethier Trio elegantly revisits great standards, swing, and Latin rhythms, while adding a modern touch to more recent pieces. The trio features Marcin Garbulinski on double bass and Éric Thibodeau on drums, forming a rhythm section that is both flexible and powerful. Together, they create a vibrant atmosphere where virtuosity and the joy of playing come together.
